My Site

The site for our project this year is Victoria Tower Gardens, a small park adjacent to Westminster Palace and forming a part of the north bank of the Thames.
Whilst we were there last week I made a measured section, the results of which are attached. I've also done some research on Bazalgette and his embankments, from which I gleaned the information on the sewers shown below
I have also presented all the information I could find on the various levels of the Thames, and I think you will find it a bit scary!

Note:
A spring tide is caused when the Sun, Moon and Earth align, causing the most extreme highs and lows.
The Newlyn Datum is the baseline for which the Ordnance Survey base all of their levels
The Lowest Astronomical Tide is the datum from which the Admiralty base all of their levels.
